what I learned today

Reading this course material on normative theory confuses me. It's pretty much like repetition, I mean the explanation. By going thru all this reading finally I learned that normative theory deals precisely with values and value preferences. Unlike empirical theory, however, propositions in normative theory are not subject to empirical test as a means of establishing their truth or falsehood. Normative theory deals not with what is, the domain of empirical theory. Rather, normative theory deals explicitly with what ought to be - the way the world should be ordered and the value choices decision makers should make. After all, sounds like utopia huh? Normative theorists claim that it's called realistic or grounded utopia. Make sense, no??? Well-done! Ohh and I got this ' love is a feeling, not a reason' - Hegel......w00t Hegel?!?! Yeah, I learned that he could be romantic too hehehe.....

meh!!!!
